Business Investors Program
Santa Barbara Education Foundation collaborates with the Santa Barbara Unified School District to support 22 public schools in our area, including 15 elementary schools and the junior high and high schools serving students from Montecito to Goleta. Our Business Investors program gives local businesses an opportunity to invest in our most valuable asset, our students…
The Santa Barbara Education Foundation continues to partner with the school district to raise funds for vital programs that provide our students with a well-rounded education. Why? Because we believe that the future of our economy and the future of our democracy depend heavily on the success of our public education.
As a business investor, you can invest in any of these three areas:
Innovative teaching opportunities are available through technology and have been transforming learning in the classroom. The district goal is for every classroom to be equipped with state-of-the-art teaching tools including an iPad, Apple TV, Sharp LCD television, and HDTV cable. Total cost = $2300 per classroom.

Keep the Beat Music Programs
Weekly music instruction is part of the core curriculum standard in all of the SBUSD elementary schools, thanks to the Santa Barbara Education Foundation and our Keep the Beat program. Why support music education in the schools? Because children who play music do better in school and in life. Because music education helps young people feel inspired and motivated. Because, according to a Columbia University study, students in the arts are found to be more cooperative with teachers and peers, more self-confident, and better able to express their ideas.(Burton, J., Horowitz, R, Abeles, H. Champions of Change, Arts Education Partnership, 1999.)
Santa Barbara Education Foundation Core Support
Since 1985, the Santa Barbara Education Foundation has been committed to promoting the private support of public education, investing resources in our schools, and serving as an advocate for our schools. SBEF works to raise funds to help all students achieve the promise of their academic potential.
We provide support for music and the arts, fund management assistance to local school site-based programs, and provided the leadership for local parcel tax and bond measures that have raised over $128 million for our schools.
Private donations to SBEF play a critical role in enhancing instructional opportunities and enriching the classroom environment for our students. Your donations help make it possible for SBEF to continue to provide this vital support.
