Yes for Schools!

The Santa Barbara Education Foundation has led successful ‘YES FOR SCHOOLS!’ bond measures and parcel tax campaigns needed to support local schools. These funding measures offset severe state funding cutbacks that had negatively impacted local schools.

Measures A & B

Measure A supports education in grades 7-12. The funds support school programs in math, science, technology, foreign language, arts, music, theater, and career training.

Measure B supports education in grades K-6. The funds support school programs in music, math, science, and technology programs in Santa Barbara Unified School District elementary schools.

These funds will support 15,000 students throughout all of our schools.

 Measures Q & R

General obligation bonds with the sole purpose of modernizing, renovating, installing, updating, replacing, and repairing facilities, infrastructures, and grounds at the elementary, junior highs, and high schools in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Together they raised $110 million for updating and improving our school sites.

Measure H supports education in grades 7-12. The funds are being used to supplement math, science, and technology education; music, arts, and theater programs at the junior high school level; foreign language at the secondary level; and restoring ninth grade math class sizes.

Measure I supports education in grades K-6. The funds are being used to supplement math, science, and technology education as well as offer classroom music programs to almost 5,000 elementary school students in our district.
