Join us in congratulating Arielle Curry in being appointed as the new Assistant Principal at Washington and Franklin elementary schools.

With 11 years of experience as an SB Unified elementary education specialist and a district-level administrator, Curry said she is thrilled to move into the assistant principal role.

“I am humbled to join the Washington and Franklin school communities. I look forward to bringing my passion for inclusive education, and playing a pivotal role in the continued advancement of Washington and Franklin,” she said.

Curry’s career as an educator began in 2009 at Monroe Elementary School where she helped establish the special day class program.

“During my tenure at Monroe, I also began my administrative journey, serving as Teacher in Charge, and shortly thereafter, I transitioned to a leadership role at the district office,” she said.

For the past five years, Curry has served as a program facilitator for the Special Education Department supports the district’s preschool and elementary special education programs.

“I pride myself as a leader who can genuinely and effectively establish relational trust with staff, students, and the parent community,” she said. “I hope to utilize my knowledge of specialized academic instruction and leadership skills to encourage and promote innovative ideas to advance the learning environments at Washington and Franklin elementary schools.”
