We are pleased to announce the appointment of Denise Granger as the next principal of Washington Elementary, effective July 1, 2020.

With her current experience as assistant principal at both Washington and Adams elementary schools, we are confident that Ms. Granger will build upon the foundation and relationships she has already established this year. Amidst the extraordinary circumstances that we are going through this spring, she will provide continuity of leadership when we begin the next school year.

Ms. Granger said she is very much looking forward to leading the Washington team. “I am delighted to continue growing with the vibrant and engaged community at Washington School,” she said. “What great work we will accomplish together!”

Raul Ramirez, Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education, said that during her time serving as an assistant principal with the district, Ms. Granger has already proven herself to be a quality instructional leader and an incredible collaborator.

“I am excited to support her transition to her new role as principal of Washington,” Ramirez said. “She will continue to do great things in service of children, families, and staff.”

Ms. Granger joined the district a year ago by way of Tustin Unified School District where she served as an instructional coach for four years and a teacher for 11 years.

Please help us in congratulating Ms. Granger in her new role.
