Summer Drumline Camp

The Summer Drumline program will be directed by Charlie Ortega and is open to incoming 6th-8th grade students.  Camp participants will be exposed to all different types of percussion instruments that are used in a large percussion ensembles, including nnare, marching tenor, bass, hand percussion like conga and djembe, and the melodic percussion, such as marimba, vibraphone and timpani.  The participants will be performing as an ensemble at the end of camp performance.

The camp will take place at La Cumbre Junior High School, June 17-28th, Monday-Friday, 9-noon.
