Get Ahead Program (GAP) Summer School
The Santa Barbara Education Foundation’s Summer School offers classes to students entering grades 9 through 12 who want to get ahead. Students can earn five to ten units of high school credit, which allows them to acquire the flexibility to take more advanced classes or more electives in the school year. These are intensive regular high school academic courses; they are not college level or remediation courses. SBEF Summer School classes meet or exceed California Standards, follow the SBUSD curriculum, and are taught only by credentialed teachers. Summer school is fast-paced and rigorous and a successful student experience is the result of working hard each and every day. Our principal, teachers, and staff are dedicated to students receiving a quality educational experience. In-class courses are hosted on the San Marcos High School campus, but are open to all high school students, including incoming freshmen, regardless of what school they attend. Scholarships are available to those who qualify.
SPECIFIC CLASS INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED OUT ONE WEEK BEFORE THE START OF EACH SESSION. IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL BY THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE CLASS STARTS, PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE.
