Santa Barbara Education Foundation is pleased to announce that our for-credit high school summer school program is transitioning to the Santa Barbara Unified School District this year. SBEF’s program necessitated a fee-based structure, but the District will be offering a summer learning program for students who want to get ahead free of charge for all students called Summer XL (Summer Extended Learning).  School counselors will have details available beginning the week of February 11th, so please contact them for more information.

What we know:

Health, American Government and Economics will be offered as well as other courses. Registration will take place in mid-Spring.

  • Session 1 begins June 10th
  • Session 2 begins July 8th

Our summer music camps include:

Nick Rail Summer Band Camp: June 17-July 11 (Registration is currently open.)

Summer String Camp: June 10-14 (Registration will be open in March.)

SBEF will be offering STEM-based camps for junior high students such as Game Making in 3D and Virtual Reality and Robotics.  Registration will be open for these camps in mid-March.
